YFC pick up 3 points on the road beating Wickham FC 2-1.

YFC fought back from a 1 goal deficit to win by 1 goal.  After a slow and uneventful first half the second half started with a little more pace.  Wickham were the first to put one away from a throw in which went in the back the net ofter some scrappy deflections.  However YFC kept their composure and began to press hard and it wasn’t long before Jose noticed the keeper was off his line and took a shot from outside the box beating both the Wickham defense and keeper tying the game.  This opened things up even more and YFC at last found their stride creating problems for Wickham in midfield and attack.  However YFC’s 2nd goal came from Arnie Emmerson (defender) – who took on two players and found some space from the half way line.  Arnie was in full stride and found only the goalie and himself between the net, he blasted it from the right of the box and it slammed into the back of the net…..a great goal!   The boys then kept their composure in all areas of the field and the referee finally blew.  A well earned 3 points for YFC.
