Aryana FC 0 - 8 YFC

YFC played out an uncompetitive match today at Burnaby West against Aryana who never seemed interested. Aryana started with 8 guys and paid for it early on when Jackson Castellanos tucked away the first of many. YFC had upwards of 75% of the possession throughout the game and all Aryana could do was punt it to one of two players and hope for something special… which never happened. Jackson added another (goal of the match), Steffen Mennekes and Adam Jennings added one each to end the first half 4-0.

The second half started same as the first, tons of YFC possession and not much opposition from Aryana who conceded a further 4 goals. Nima Farahmand grabbed two and Steffen completed his hat-trick while earning Man of the Match honours.

In a game where little pressure was felt by Yaletown, they could easily have played down to their opponents but instead played some great passing football and scored 8 goals. Thanks to Martin Sosa to coming out to support the team and as always cheers to Glyn Roberts for providing the Fergie-esque wisdom from the sideline.
